NEET 2018- National Eligibility cum Entrance Test

NEET 2018 is scheduled in May 2018. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test will be conducted under the guidance of CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). It is a national-level exam conducted for admissions to MBBS and BDS courses. For the academic session 2018-19, total available seats in NEET are around 55,000 for medical and dental programs.
Here are some key highlights of NEET 2018:
  • Candidates who clear Class XII with the minimum qualifying marks can apply for NEET Exam. Check  NEET Eligibility
  • Candidates can fill NEET 2018 Application Form from February 2018 onwards, at the official website of CBSE i.e. cbseneet.nic.in.
  • Candidates who register successfully will take NEET 2018 in May.Check  NEET 2018 Exam Pattern
  • CBSE will then declare NEET 2018 Result in June 2018. It will display the percentile rank and All India Rank secured by the candidate.
  • All candidates who qualify the exam and clear NEET Cut off will be considered for admission to medical/ dental colleges.

Minimum Educational Qualification

  • Candidates should have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognized board or institution to be eligible for NEET.
  • Candidates appearing for 10+2 examination are also eligible.
  • Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Biotechnology and English as their subjects in Class XII.
  • A candidate from General category should have scored 50% in the qualifying examination. 
  • A candidate from General – Physically Handicapped category should have scored 50% in the qualifying examination.
  • A candidate from reserved category (SC / ST / OBC) should have scored 50% in the qualifying examination.
