New IBPS Specialist Officer Paper Pattern details

The IBPS SO exam will take place in 3 stages from this year – Prelims, Mains and Interview.
All participants who will successfully register for IBPS SO online (CWE SPL-VII) will be called for IBPS SO Preliminary Exam. And according to the performance in prelims exam selected aspirants will be shortlisted and called for the IBPS SO Main exam.
From this year The IBPS SO Main exam will include only questions from Professional Knowledge. Complete detailed notifications details regarding New IBPS Specialist Officer Prelims and Mains exam pattern will be issued by department soon.

IBPS Specialist Officer Prelims exam is an objective type paper which includes 3 subjects of different marks. All participants required to qualify in all sections and for every wrong answer, you must lose some marks as negative marking and time duration of paper is 01 hour.
Here are the changes in the IBPS SO 2017 Exam Pattern, as intimated via the IBPS Exam calendar notification:
  • From this year you will face IBPS SO Prelims exam as a new stage.
  • Now Final selection will be passing through 3 stage selection process which is Preliminary, Mains and Interview.
  • Your Performance in Prelims will decide your selection in Mains and then Interview.
  • The IBPS SO Mains exam will only include Professional Knowledge questions.

IBPS Specialist Officer Negative Marking Process
There will be negative marking in IBPS Specialist Officer exam for each wrong answer. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted from all score. and for the Unmarked question, there will be no penalty. And Score will be normalized using the equipped centile method. So read the question properly before answer and start the paper with proper time management because overall score depends on your answers speed.
