Civil Services Exam 2018 Eligibility
Civil Services Exam 2018 (CSE) is one of the famous national level competitive examinations in the country scheduled by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). UPSC conducts civil service examination to recruit the eligible candidates at numerous Services of the Govt. of India such as IAS Indian Administrative Services), IFS (Indian Foreign Services), IPS (Indian Police Services) & IRS (Indian Revenue Services). It is one of the tough competitive examination in India in which the success rate is 0.1%-0.3% with more than 11,00,000 candidates. There are 2 phases involved in civil services examination- 1st one of preliminary examination including 2 MCQ type papers (general studies & aptitude test) and the 2nd one is the Main examination including nine papers of the conventional type followed by personal interview round. The competition is quite high every year, as many candidates apply for UPSC Civil Services Examination every year. Only those candidates who will score high as per the cut-off pattern will be eligible to take Main examination of UPSC Civil Services. Exam Pattern
Civil services examination is considered as one of the toughest competitive examinations in India. On an average, almost 9,00,000 to 1,000,000 candidates take part in civil services examination every year and the number of appearing candidates to write preliminary exam is approx 4,50,000. The entire process of civil services examination is completed in these 3 stages-
- Stages I- Preliminary Examination (A qualifying exam conducted in the month of August every year and the result declared in the mid of October month).
- Stage II- Main Examination (Conducted in the month of December every year and result declared in the 2nd week of March).
- Stage III- Personal Interview (Conducted in the month of April/May every year and final result released in the month of May).

- Candidates will fill all the required information in the application form such as their name, age, educational qualification,
- Every applicant will have to pay the application fee thru online mode only.
- The application fee can be paid thru the net banking, credit card, debit card.
- The application fee will be exempted for the female applicants and the candidates of the SC and ST category.
- The application fee for all the candidates of the general and OBC category will be Rs. 100.
